TMContest Test

Managing the Helper Roster

Open a contest and go to Helpers. This is where every role for the contest gets staffed except Contest Judge — judges sign themselves up and are managed from the Judges page instead. The Contest Chief Judge (CCJ) does show up here as a row, but its edit/remove controls only work for the District Chief Judge (DCJ) or the person already seated in that row.

Adding a helper

Pick a role and select Add. Some roles allow a backup slot — if a role supports it, you'll see a separate Add backup option.

Filling in details

Each helper row takes a name, education level, email, phone, alternate phone, and whether texts are okay. Fill these in and save.

Clubs and conflicts

You can attach a helper's club by searching and selecting it. If their club overlaps with another helper's club in a way the rulebook flags, you'll see a conflict warning naming who else shares it. This is a warning, not a hard block — you can acknowledge it with a reason and keep going, or swap in someone from a different club.

Inviting a helper

Once a helper has an email, select Invite to send them an account invitation scoped to this contest. If an invite is already outstanding, the button relabels to Resend Invite.

Removing a helper

Removing a helper deletes their row, cancels any outstanding invitation, and adjusts their contest access down to whatever their remaining roles still justify.
