Volunteer Pool

The Volunteer Pool (/volunteers) is for directors staffing contests from the people who've signed up to volunteer. Only directors can reach this page.

Finding volunteers

The list shows every volunteer, their role interests, and whether they've marked themselves experienced in each. Filter by role to narrow it down.

Some roles are restricted to Coordinators — if you're not a Coordinator, volunteers who are only interested in a Coordinator-only role won't show for that role.

Assigning someone to a contest

Pick the volunteer, choose a contest and a role, and add them. This:

• Seats them on the contest as a helper in that role.
• Grants them access to the contest at whatever level the role carries (or keeps their existing access if it's already higher).
• Emails them to let them know they've been added.

A volunteer's email address only appears after you've successfully added them to a contest — it's hidden until then.

Vetting

A volunteer's status can be marked Vetted from this page. Vetting doesn't gate whether you can assign them — it's a record-keeping flag.
