Creating a Contest
From the dashboard, choose New Contest.
- Contest type — choose Area, Division or District. This decides who runs it and which checklist template it starts from.
- Area or Division — pick the specific area or division. Only the ones you have access to are listed. A District contest has no picker: it covers your whole district.
- Season label — a short label like
Fall 2026. - Contest date and time, and timezone.
Select Create contest. The contest starts in Draft status with:
- A copy of the checklist template that's currently active for that contest type.
- The standard set of briefings, ready to schedule.
If no checklist template is active for District yet, the page says so instead of creating the contest. Create one under Checklist Templates and activate it first.
Nobody is added to a District contest's roster automatically. Every Coordinator of the district can open and run it. Division and Area Directors reach it only if someone invites them onto it.
Task due dates are calculated from the contest date, so double-check it before creating — changing it later shifts every task that hasn't been completed yet.
